Easy Instant Pot Refried Beans

Main Ingredient: Beans

1 pound pinto beans, dried

1 white onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, chopped

4 cups veggie broth (1-32 oz box)

2 ½ cups water

1 teaspoon garlic granules

2 teaspoons cumin

2 teaspoons sat

Directions Preparing: 30 min

Step 1 Put all of the ingredients into the Instant Pot. Set to Manual, 50 minutes. After 45 minutes, let Instant Pot slow release on its own for 20 minutes. Quick release the rest of the pressure yourself carefully. Drain the liquid and reserve in a bowl. Smash beans with a potato masher and add ½ the bean liquid back in and more as needed to get the consistency you like. Adjust salt and cumin to taste. Serve with rice, in burritos, on tostadas and tacos!
